Blue: Dapi: Nuclei Green: FITC: Laminin RC = Renal corpuscle BL = Basal lamina CT = Collecting tubule
Laminin was stained in order to capture the basal lamina that forms the framework of the nephron in the kidney. [They] were hoping to see a clear image of a Bowman’s capsule, the glomerular capillaries, as well as, proximal, distal, and collecting tubules. The renal corpuscle is labeled RC. The green outlines indicate basal lamina.
